Blending Tradition and Neuroscience — Acupuncture for Nervous System Regulation and Resilience.
Offerings
Acupuncture is a age old therapeutic practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that involves inserting fine needles into specific zones on the body. Beyond this simple explanation, it encompasses a range of procedures that stimulate specific nerves and anatomical points through various techniques. By stimulating these zones, acupuncture promotes healing, reduces pain, alleviates stress, and supports overall wellness. It is used to treat a wide range of conditions, helping restore proper bodily functioning.

Electro-acupuncture combines traditional acupuncture with gentle electrical stimulation to enhance therapeutic effects. During this treatment, fine needles are inserted at specific points, then connected to a FDA approved device that delivers a controlled, low-frequency electrical current. This stimulation helps to increase circulation, decrease inflammation thus releasing muscle tension, and reducing pain by encouraging the body’s natural healing responses. Furthermore, using particular frequencies facilitates neuromodulation of the central nervous system. Electro-acupuncture is particularly effective for musculoskeletal conditions, nerve-related pain, and chronic issues, providing a deeper level of relief and balance for your health concerns.
I use a Pantheon electro-acupuncture machine, which uses symmetrical biphasic waveform for maximum physiological response of a beneficial nature

Cupping therapy is a traditional technique that uses gentle suction to lift and release muscle tension, enhancing circulation and supporting the body’s natural detoxification process. By encouraging blood flow to the treated areas, cupping helps relieve tightness, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation. This effective, hands-on therapy is an excellent option for easing sore muscles and rejuvenating overall well-being.
Pediatric care
The primary approach to pediatric care is Tuina, a gentle Chinese massage using techniques like rubbing, tapping, and kneading along the meridian pathways to promote relaxation and healing. As trust builds and your child feels more comfortable, additional tools like the Pa-Chi piezo activator may be introduced. Furthermore, we may explore scalp acupuncture and herbal prescriptions.
Attentive communication and a caring presence are at the heart of every session, ensuring that each treatment is comforting and entirely child-led.
Herbal formulations provide a personalized and sustainable approach to health. Rooted in Chinese medicine’s rich tradition, I prescribe formulas that suit your unique constitution, symptoms, and overall health goals. These formulas work synergistically to relieve immediate discomfort, such as cough, hay fever, digestive issues, or pain, while addressing underlying causes of imbalance. Safe and effective when prescribed by a qualified practitioner, herbal medicine provides a holistic path to nurturing vitality and achieving long-term well-being.
I dispense black pearl pills and china med capsules formulas onsite.
* For complex cases needing formula modifications, I will get a raw formula delivered express to your home from an external dispensary*

About me
I'm Beatrice, the founder of East Brunswick Acupuncture. Originally from Quebec City, Canada, I'm an AHPRA-registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner with a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
My practice combines the principles of traditional Chinese medicine with contemporary neuroscience and evidence-informed acupuncture. Alongside acupuncture, I offer electro-acupuncture, cupping, Tuina Chinese massage and herbal medicine, selecting the most appropriate treatment approach for each individual.
Since graduating, I have undertaken extensive postgraduate education in electro-acupuncture, neuromodulation, pain science and neuroscience, while continuing advanced training in traditional Chinese medicine through mentorships and professional development. This ongoing learning allows me to integrate traditional diagnostic methods with current research into how acupuncture influences the nervous system.
Whether you're seeking care for pain, neurological conditions, stress-related disorders, sleep concerns or women's health, my goal is to provide thoughtful, personalised treatment that is grounded in both tradition and modern scientific understanding.
